Phase III - 2020
A month ago I was entering Phase II, one with goals set around continuing to perform on a daily basis. I had a foundation set and my confidence was building but I also saw patterns where I usually slip and take big steps backwards. Phase II was a success, not perfect by an means but a success for where I am in 2020. I continued executing my conditioning program, introduced weight training back into my routine and noticed a new baseline in how I felt, my weight and overall capacity.
Where phases I & II were designed around doubt and limitations, phase III pushes that aside and is built around Intensity. It’s time to dial it in and see what happens when I go all-in. The program is pretty much the same, more resistance training, built in recovery days and anchored to high intensity conditioning. Diet is basic and clean, which will be challenging but necessary to meet the needs of performing daily (gym, work and at home).
The challenge isn’t about weight loss...it’s not about physical benchmarks…it’s about mindset and getting back to flipping the switch when I need to. Sometimes I need turn everything else off, step out of my comfort zone and kick some ass! That’s where growth happens, that’s where I need to be right now.
